Tattoo fans will flock to Frankfurt’s fairgrounds Friday through the weekend for the annual International Tattoo Convention, advertised as the largest event of its kind in Europe.
Marking its 20th anniversary by highlighting four countries: the U.S., Japan, China and Mexico. More than 600 tattoo artists from 20 countries will show off their talents. Events include body painting, “best of” competitions, tattoo model shows, music and stage shows, live boxing and exhibitions of the combat sport Muay Thai. Of course, there also will be opportunities to get a tattoo. The convention is open 3 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Admission costs 20 euros.
