Salon des Vins et de la Gastronomie

Wines and culinary specialties from all corners of France await discovery. Workshops, tastings and degustations are led by chefs, sommeliers, food bloggers and others passionate about their food and drink.
Admission: Adults tickets cost 5 euros at the door or 4 euros when purchased online; those under 16 enter free.
Address: Champs Elysees, Paris, France
Date: April 8 (Women’s elite runners set off at 8:09 a.m., followed by other groups)
While it’s too late to register for the race, cheering on the 55,000 runners who are taking part is a fun pastime as well. Anna Hartley wrote an excellent blog article describing where spectators can find the best vantage points and how to get around by public transportation on the day.
Kelterhallen Weinfest/ Wine press hall festival
Address: Weingut Buergerspital (Kelterhalle), Theaterstrasse 19, 97070 Wuerzburg
Dates: April 6-7 (5 p.m.-midnight both days)
The spacious heated hall of the Buergerspital, a wine estate with a courtyard in the middle of the city, serves as the venue for this celebration of food and drink. Live bands play on both evenings.
Admission: Entry is free; sampling the wines of 2017 from 6 p.m.-9 p.m. Saturday costs 15 euros.
Fiori e Sapori/Flowers and Flavors
Address: Naviglio Grande, Milan, Italy
Date: April 8 (from 8:30 a.m.)
Florists from all over Italy show off their pretty arrangements and regional vendors offer tasty regional treats alongside a canal in a district with many cafes and boutiques.
International Dog Expo
Address: Luxexpo The Box, Circuit de la Foire Internationale, L-2088 Luxembourg
Dates: April 7-8 (10 a.m.-6 p.m. both days)
Twice a year, the Luxembourg Canine Federation organizes an international dog show that is open to the public. Five groups compete on each day, so be sure to check the website to see when your breed of choice is being judged.
Admission: Adults tickets 5 pounds, youth 2.50 euros, small children free. Parking costs an additional 5 euros.

Dates: April 6-8 (from 7 p.m. April 6; from noon April 7; from 1 p.m. April 8)
This ambitious festival presents rising talents in from the international music scene. The program focuses on contemporary electronic music, neo-classical, new jazz, experimental pop, sound art and collaborations. In addition to attending concerts, passholders can enjoy multidisciplinary performances, screenings, talks and workshops. Performers hail from Australia, Bolivia, Brazil, Kuwait, Norway, the U.S. and other lands. Concerts take place across 10 different venues, from a disused factory to churches.
Admission: Both day and weekend tickets are available. Passes go for 75 euros; single-day tickets cost 33.50 euros.
Peixe em Lisboa/ Lisbon Fish and Flavors

Dates: April 5-15
Fish and seafood are the stars of the show at this culinary festival. Innovative and high-profile chefs from Portugal and beyond, along with the city’s best restaurants, present a wide range of fish-based culinary offerings. A market within the same event space offers delicious foods, wines, beverages, cooking gadgets and other kitchen must-haves.
Admission: Adult entry costs 15 euros on weekdays from noon-5 p.m. and 6 euros on the weekend; a portion of the entry cost can be used toward the cost of food and drink.
