Medieval Market: Cheer on clashing knights, watch flames light up the night and wander among merchants, craftspeople and costumed performers at this medieval festival at Kaiserslautern’s Gelterswoog, from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. Live music, historical camps, medieval combat and family activities turn the lakeside grounds into a lively trip back in time. Admission Friday is 9 euros for adults and 6 euros for children and visitors in costume, and Saturday and Sunday admission is 12 euros for adults and 8 euros for children and visitors in costume.

American Comedy Night: Trade cultural confusion for laughs as American comedians Jordan Prince, Erin Crouch and Kendra Borgen take the stage for an English-language comedy show in Kaiserslautern starting at 7 p.m. Sunday. The trio finds the funny side of expat life, cultural differences and the everyday surprises that come with being an American in Europe. Admission is free, with seating available on a first-come, first-served basis.

World of Robotic Dinosaurs: Walk among giants as dozens of roaring, moving dinosaurs take over Trier, starting at 2 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday and Sunday. About 50 lifelike robotic dinosaurs, some stretching up to 65 feet long, bring the prehistoric world to life alongside dinosaur rides, simulated fossil digs and displays revealing how these mechanical beasts move. Tickets start at 20 euros.

Magic Show: Expect sleight of hand, mind-reading and plenty of “How did they do that?” moments at this night of magic in Kaiserslautern beginning at 8 p.m. Friday. Local magicians mix close-up tricks, mentalism, storytelling and stage illusions, and the magic may start before you even reach your seat. Tickets are 16.58 euros.

Farm Store Day: Follow your appetite through Wachenheim as local farms and producers serve up the flavors of fall from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Eight stops around the village feature regional honey, chutney, jams, mustard, oils, vinegar, tea, herbs, cheese and other specialties, with local wine, fresh produce, coffee and cake offering plenty of reasons to linger. Admission is free.
