If you’ve got errands to run this weekend, get them done by Friday.

German Unity Day falls on Saturday this year. The national holiday marks East and West Germany’s reunification in 1990.

Most stores and supermarkets will be closed Saturday for the holiday and remain closed Sunday as usual, meaning Friday is your last chance to stock up before the weekend.

Some businesses, including gas stations and some bakeries, may remain open, but hours may be affected.
