Traffic is backed up on the A6 toward Saarbrücken between Ramstein-Miesenbach and the Landstuhl-West interchange because of a Tuesday morning car crash, according to police.

Traffic has been stopped since about 9 a.m., and first responders are on the scene, according to witness reports.

Drivers are urged to avoid the area if possible.
