Clear your calendar and bring your appetite because this weekend offers plenty of reasons to get out and explore.

Whether you’re in the mood to browse, eat, drink or simply wander, there’s an outing waiting for you this weekend in the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

Ramstein Bazaar: Shop goods from more than 110 vendors at this sprawling bazaar inside Hangars 1 and 2 at Ramstein Air Base from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. When it’s time for a shopping break, 29 food booths will serve everything from coffee and specialty lemonades to fried pickles, tacos, burgers and desserts, with proceeds supporting unit-affiliated private organizations on base. Free admission.

European Street Food Awards: Sample some of the continent’s best mobile eats as Europe’s top street food vendors face off in the European Street Food Awards finals in Saarbrücken from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. Dig into the finalists’ creations, then stick around to see who takes home the title of European street food champion. Free admission.

Medieval Market: Step back several centuries as the grounds around the historic Bettingen Mill in Schmelz fill with knights, entertainers, merchants and craftspeople from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Expect jugglers, magicians, fire shows, live music and dancing, along with jousting, medieval food and drink and artisans demonstrating their trades. Admission is 5 euros Friday and 8 euros Saturday and Sunday, with reduced admission for children and visitors in costume.

Wine Fest: Raise a glass at the second weekend of the world’s largest wine festival taking over Bad Dürkheim Friday through Monday. Hundreds of local wines and sparkling wines are joined by carnival rides, food stands, live music and the festival’s famous Schubkarchstände, small wine stands where crowds squeeze around communal tables for a quintessential Palatinate experience. The festival opens by 11 a.m. each day. Free admission.

Ramstein Fun Fair: Take a spin on the rides, grab some classic German fair food and soak up the festival atmosphere in downtown Ramstein Friday through Tuesday. The annual fun fair brings carnival attractions, food and drink stands and musical entertainment to the city for five days of Kerwe festivities. Free admission.
