Construction on Daennerstrasse will affect traffic and access to the city recycling center Sept. 21-Oct. 17 (Cortland Henderson/U.S. Army)
Drivers near Kleber Kaserne should expect road closures on Daennerstrasse beginning next week as the city of Kaiserslautern starts extensive construction near the installation’s East Gate.
Daennerstrasse will be completely closed from Mannheimer Strasse to the city recycling center during the first phase of the construction project, from Sept. 21-26. During that time, the recycling center will remain accessible from Salingstrasse, which runs past Kleber’s East Gate.
The second phase of construction is scheduled for Sept. 28 through Oct. 17, when access from Salingstrasse will close and the recycling center will be completely inaccessible.
Recycling centers on Pfaffstrasse, in Erfenbach and at ZAK will remain open during the closure. The sidewalk along Daennerstrasse will also remain open throughout construction.
