Summer may be winding down, but the weekend calendar certainly isn’t.

From a glowing garden and a good old-fashioned village fest to live music, family fun and a downtown takeover for the younger crowd, there’s plenty happening around the KMC.

Youth Culture Crawl: Kaiserslautern’s younger crowd can take over downtown for an action-packed night of skating, art, live music, video games and more from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday. Nine venues across the city center will host activities for young people throughout the evening, with the night culminating in a silent disco. Free admission.

End of Summer Fest: Send summer out with a bang at Pulaski Park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. A live DJ, food trucks, an interactive equipment display and a packed lineup of family activities will fill the park, and one lucky visitor could walk away with a 2026 Mini Cooper S. Free admission.

Relay for Life: Break out the neon, leg warmers and sweatbands for an ’80s-themed Relay for Life at Kaiserslautern High School on Vogelweh/Kapaun Air Station Saturday. Check-in opens at 1 p.m., with the opening ceremony kicking things off at 3 p.m. Come dressed in your best throwback gear and rally together for a great cause.

Festival of 1,000 Lights: Watch Zweibrücken’s rose garden transform into a dazzling wonderland as thousands of colorful lights illuminate the grounds from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday. Multiple stages will pump out everything from laid-back tunes to party-ready beats, turning one of the region’s prettiest gardens into a glowing summer celebration. Admission is 13 euros, or 8 euros for students and people with disabilities.

Fun Fair: Get a taste of a classic German village party when Miesenbach breaks out the music, rides, festival food and cold drinks this weekend. The festivities start at 8 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday, with plenty of small-town charm and old-fashioned fun to go around. Free admission.
