Rail travelers in Germany will soon have to wait until they board their train to open a beer.

Deutsche Bahn announced Tuesday that alcohol consumption will be banned at all of its train stations nationwide by Oct. 15.

The ban does not apply to alcohol consumed on board trains or at station bars and restaurants, according to the announcement. Travelers may also continue carrying unopened bottles and cans in their luggage or shopping bags while inside stations.

Deutsche Bahn did not say when the policy will take effect at Kaiserslautern’s main train station. The ban is already in place at 30 stations, including those in Cologne, Hamburg and Munich.
