Saarbrücken street food festival: Indulge in offerings from over 40 food trucks and vendor booths in the Saarbrücken city park. Local street artists and performers will liven up the 10-year anniversary celebration from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. Free admission.

Kaiserslautern street theatre and music festival: Enjoy the show as hundreds of actors, dancers and musicians bring their talents to the streets of Kaiserslautern starting at 7:30 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. Sunday. Performers from 11 countries will transform the city into their stage, including a nighttime aerial ballet spectacle from Spain at 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free.

Ramstein USO bingo: USO Ramstein is bringing a little holiday magic to the middle of summer with Christmas in July family bingo at the AMC Passenger Terminal. Families can play multiple rounds of bingo, with a mix of seasonal music and festive treats to enjoy along the way. Be sure to bring your ugliest Christmas sweater if you can bear the heat! The fun starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday. Free admission.

Freinsheim town wall festival: Enjoy a baroque old town, regional food and wine, and music around Freinsheim’s almost completely preserved medieval town wall. Narrow paths, historic alleyways, and romantic squares invite visitors to linger from Friday to Monday. Pirmasens medieval market: Knights and Vikings are taking over the Strecktalpark in Pirmasens this weekend as the area transforms into a medieval wonderland full of entertainment for the whole family. The little ones can enjoy rides, games, crafts and tales from the high seas with “The Flying Dutchman.” Blacksmiths and other artisans will give live demonstrations and offer a variety of goods to browse. Grownups can have a drink and join in the merriment with the bards sure to be hanging around the tavern. Four-legged friends are welcome as long as they stay on their leashes. The market is open Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Entrance is 8 euro for adults and 5 euro for kids 6-14 and visitors in period costumes.
