Make the most of this weekend in the KMC with these five events


Wine festival: Raise a glass at the Kaiserslautern Garden Show’s annual wine festival from 6 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. Sunday. Sip your way through wines from local vineyards while enjoying delicious food, live music and street theater set among the blooming gardens. Admission is 9.90 euros at the gate or 8.50 euros online.

Classic car show: Cruise over to Landau for a weekend packed with classic and American cars starting at noon Saturday and 10 a.m. Sunday. Live music, street food and children’s activities make this more than just a car show, and donations help support the Riding Santas. Admission is free.

Street food festival: Eat your way around the world at the 10th annual street food festival in Bad Kreuznach all weekend long. From savory favorites to sweet treats, vendors will be serving up international flavors that are sure to satisfy every craving. Admission is free.

Italian Nights: Escape to Italy without leaving Germany at this romantic street party in Kusel Friday through Sunday. Celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary with authentic Italian cuisine, live music and plenty of festive charm. Admission is free.

Medieval market: Journey back to the Middle Ages at the medieval market near Ommersheim all weekend long. Watch knights, musicians and entertainers bring history to life as artisans demonstrate traditional crafts and vendors serve hearty medieval fare. Admission is 6 euros for visitors ages 16 and older. Those 15 and under get in free.
