There’s plenty to see this weekend, from cosplay to medieval reeactments.
Medieval Spectacle: Expect artisans, jugglers, musicians, historical reenactors and more at this fest on Saturday and Sunday at the Moschellandsburg castle ruin in Obermoschel, about an hour away from Kaiserslautern. 10 euro adults, 7 euro for children and those in costume.
Lawn tractor races: The Rasentrecker Neuhemsbach club event in Sembach features races of various types of lawn tractors Friday through Sunday, as well as music Friday and Saturday. Free to watch races, 8 euro for music nights.
Grillin N’ Chillin’ Bingo: Ramstein Community Center hosts a family bingo event on Friday. $40 at the door, $8 for kids’ cards.
Hutmacherfest: Kusel celebrates its hat-making tradition with live music and a festival tent Friday through Sunday. Free admission.
Geekworld: Cosplay, retro toys, trading cards, gaming and anime are the focus at this Saturday and Sunday gathering at the Maimarkthalle in Mannheim. 22 euro for adult day tickets, discounts for children, seniors and late entry tickets.
