KMC Onstage and Razz Ma Tazz, local community theaters with their main locations on Kleber Kaserne and Ramstein Air Base respectively, have released info on their upcoming shows.
Here’s a look at what’s been announced so far, in chronological order (note that some shows may have rehearsals or performances at locations other than the main theater locations).
10-Minute Plays: A collection of short works from new directors will have auditions for ages 8 and up on Monday and Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. on Kleber Kaserne. Performances are June 26 to 28 at KMC Onstage. Most roles are for adults, with a couple of youth roles.
“The Stinky Cheese Man”: Auditions for ages 12 and up for this Razz Ma Tazz show will be held at the Ramstein Community Center on July 20 and 21 from 6 to 7 p.m. Performance dates for the comedic fractured fairy tales will be Sept. 18 to 27.
“Beetlejuice Jr.”: Auditions for this youth musical, based on the movie about a demon who creates plenty of supernatural chaos, will be Aug. 3 and 4. It’s presented by KMC Onstage, and performances are Oct. 16-Nov. 1.
“The Rocky Horror Shadow Show”: A shadowcast of the cult film presented by KMC Onstage will have auditions Aug. 31-Sept. 1, with shows Oct. 23-31.
“The Family Tree”: An original play written by community member Sidney Reed and presented by KMC Onstage will have auditions Nov. 2-3. Performances will be Jan. 29-Feb. 14.
“The Three Musketeers”: Auditions for this play, an adaptation of the swashbuckling novel by Alexandre Dumas presented by KMC Onstage, are Jan. 4-5. Performances are March 19-April 4.
“The Wizard of Oz”: Auditions for the musical, which will have a cast of adults and children, about Dorothy’s adventures in Oz are Feb. 22-23. Show dates are May 7-23 for the KMC Onstage production.
10-Minute Plays: The season-ending 2027 KMC Onstage collection of short plays will have auditions June 7-8. Shows are July 9-11.
