Getting your packages on Kleber Kaserne just got a lot easier.

Intelligent mail lockers are now in service at the Kleber post office, giving customers 24/7 access to some deliveries starting Wednesday.

Customers whose packages are placed in a locker will receive an email from the postal team with the subject “Package placed in locker.” The message will include instructions to access the locker using a QR code or a six-digit PIN.

At the locker, customers will use a touch screen to sign for the package, followed by a camera confirmation. Once complete, the assigned locker will open for retrieval.

The system operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with packages placed in any available locker rather than assigned units. Two locker banks, labeled 1 and 2, are installed, and customers should double-check they are at the correct bank before scanning or entering their code.

The new setup is designed to offer more flexibility, especially for those who can’t make it to the post office during standard pickup hours, though some packages may still require in-person pickup.
