Police across the Kaiserslautern Military Community are ramping up speed enforcement this week as part of a Europe-wide “Speedweek” campaign.
The initiative runs Monday through Sunday, with the heaviest enforcement expected Wednesday, when officers will deploy additional mobile speed cameras on highways, main roads, and through towns and villages.
Drivers can expect increased checks throughout the week as authorities target speeding violations and encourage safer driving.
As a reminder, general speed limits in Germany are typically 50 kph (31 mph) in towns and 100 kph (62 mph) outside of towns, unless otherwise posted.
