Spring is finally showing off around the Kaiserslautern Military Community, and this weekend is packed with ways to get out and enjoy it.

From wine-filled vineyard strolls to cross-border markets and blooming gardens, there’s no shortage of reasons to make plans.

Spring market: Sip your way through historic wine cellars and sun-dappled vineyards at this vibrant spring market in Herxheim Saturday starting at 11 a.m. Browse local merchants, grab something delicious from food vendors and soak in the easygoing wine country atmosphere. Admission is free, tastings priced individually.

Winemaker Express: Climb aboard for a scenic train ride through rolling, budding vineyards at this one-of-a-kind wine experience in Rüdesheim am Rhein Sunday starting at 12:15 p.m. At the top, settle in for curated local wines perfectly paired with snacks and sweeping views of the Rhein Valley. Tickets start at 45 euros.

French-German Easter market: Wander across borders as you explore this lively Easter market stretching between Habkirchen, Germany and Frauenberg, France Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nearly 100 stalls pack both sides of the bridge with handcrafted goods, festive décor and irresistible regional bites from two countries. Admission is free.

Garden Show season opening: Step into spring as the gates open for the season at Kaiserslautern‘s Garden Show Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. More than 21,000 square feet of brilliantly colored blooms create a picture-perfect backdrop for a full day outdoors. Tickets are 8 euros online or 9.50 euros at the door.
