Flowers take center stage across the region this weekend, with blossom-lined villages and spring markets in full swing.

From almond trees bursting into soft pink bloom to daffodil-filled stalls and open-air festivals, here are the top picks for this weekend in the Kaiserslautern Military Community.

Daffodil market: Celebrate the start of spring surrounded by bright blooms and festive flair at this lively market in Bad Dürkheim on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Browse colorful ceramics, handmade jewelry and Easter goodies while sipping local wines and snacking your way through food stalls. Free admission.

Almond blossom festival (Gimmeldingen): Chase the blossoms in Gimmeldingen, where rows of almond trees burst into bloom and the village comes alive with wine, food and nonstop spring energy. Visit Friday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., or Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., to explore about 20 wine stands and plenty of tasty options. Free admission.

Almond blossom festival (Freinsheim): Step straight into peak spring magic as Freinsheim’s historic village transforms into a sea of soft pink blossoms on Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wander a 3.4-mile trail lined with blooming almond trees, sip regional wines and sample delicious bites at this feel-good seasonal fest. Free admission.

Spring market: Welcome the season with fresh flavors and local finds at Kaiserslautern’s floral-themed spring market on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shop sustainably produced meats, cheeses and wine while a roaming brass band and the Easter Bunny keep things festive. Free admission.

Sunday shopping and car show: Make the most of rare Sunday shopping hours in Kaiserslautern while checking out everything from eye-catching classic cars to sleek new models on Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. With free parking across the city, it’s the perfect excuse to stroll, shop and linger a little longer.
