Registration is open for Kaiserslautern’s annual street cleaning week scheduled for April 20-25.

Interested neighborhood groups, clubs, businesses, school classes, kindergartens and individuals can register online until March 20 on the Kaiserslautern City Cleaning Department’s website.

The city’s sanitation department will provide volunteers with the necessary supplies and safety equipment, including gloves, vests and trash bags.

At least 3,000 children, teenagers and adults have already registered to help improve the city’s cleanliness and collect litter and trash, according the city’s announcement Wednesday.

Participants will receive a certificate and a small gift as a token of appreciation for their volunteer work.

Additionally, one kindergarten, primary school and youth group will be drawn at random to win a cash prize of €200.
