DUI checkpoints planned around KMC installations this weekend

Officials are reminding drivers that Germany’s legal blood alcohol limit is 0.05% as military police prepare for DUI and safety checkpoints near Army installations across the Kaiserslautern Military Community. (18th Military Police Brigade)

Military police will set up sobriety and safety checkpoints around Army installations across the Kaiserslautern Military Community this weekend, according to a U.S. Army Garrison Rheinland-Pfalz statement.

In Germany, the legal blood alcohol limit for drivers is 0.05%, lower than the 0.08% limit common in most parts of the United States.

If you plan to drink, make a plan to get home safely.
