Public transportation across the Kaiserslautern Military Community and beyond is expected to halt Friday and Saturday amid a nationwide strike in Germany.

The Ver.di labor union has called on public bus, tram and train employees to walk off the job during ongoing wage and working condition negotiations, the union said in a Tuesday statement.

Services are expected to resume Sunday.
