A new semi-stationary speed camera has been installed at the A6 Ramstein-Miesenbach junction in the direction of Mannheim, according to Kaiserslautern police.
The narrowing of a lane in the area has created a potential hazard and could lead to traffic jams, police said.
It is not yet clear how long the camera will stay at the current location, but officials said they plan to move it several times a year.
