Looking for cozy winter vibes or family-friendly fun in the Kaiserslautern area this weekend?

From wine walks to carnival confetti and dazzling ice shows, there’s something for every mood on and off base.

Red wine hike: Cozy up with bold reds and vineyard views at this dreamy winter wine walk in Freinsheim all weekend. Local bites and fairytale scenery complete the mood. Free admission, but bring cash for snacks and sips.

Wine in Flames: Toast the season with delicious wines and fiery flair at this glowing gourmet fest in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse, starting at 4 p.m. Friday and from noon Saturday and Sunday. Food stalls, fire pits and vineyard charm fill the weekend. Free admission.

Ramadan bazaar: Savor the spirit of the season at this vibrant cultural event in Kaiserslautern from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday. Fragrant food, colorful decorations, henna, crafts, a book fair and family fun fill the afternoon. Free admission.

Children’s Carnival: Music, dance and confetti-fueled fun await at this lively Fasching celebration in Weilerbach starting at 2:11 p.m. Sunday. A perfect pick for families ready to party. Admission is 3 euros.

Holiday on Ice: Big-screen moments meet jaw-dropping choreography at this cinematic ice show in Mannheim. Showtimes are Friday at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., and Sunday at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Lights, music and magic on ice. Tickets start at 53.65 euros.
