Many on-base services in the Kaiserslautern Military Community are closing early for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, starting Friday.

Army and Air Force services, including post offices, child development centers and child and youth services, will be closed both Friday and Monday. Department of Defense Education Activity schools are also closed both days.

The Ramstein commissary and Exchange will have reduced hours Monday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., while the Vogelweh commissary will be open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. All will operate on regular schedules Friday.

Plan ahead. Most services will not reopen until Tuesday.
