Overstimulated shoppers at Globus in Kaiserslautern might want to consider hitting up the mega department and grocery store every third Wednesday in the evenings starting this month.

The store is rolling out “quiet hours” on those days from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for customers with “sensory sensitivities and disabilities,” the company’s Kaiserslautern branch announced on its Facebook page earlier this month.

During quiet hours, the store plans to dim lights and eliminate background music, announcements and loud-ringing phones.

The first “relaxed shopping” event begins on Jan. 21, with each subsequent quiet hours’ evening scheduled for every third Wednesday of the month, except when it falls before a public holiday. The remaining dates for the year are: Feb. 18, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 24, July 15, Aug. 19, Sept. 16, Oct. 21, Nov. 18 and Dec. 16.
