To ease traffic at Vogelweh Family Housing Area’s Armstrong Gate, Gate 9 near Vogelweh Elementary School will be open from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Halloween, according to U.S. military police.

The gate, accessible from B270 onto 4th Avenue, is being opened to accommodate increased traffic for trick-or-treating. Nearby Gate 1 at Kapaun Air Station, which leads from B270 to 2nd Avenue near Kaiserslautern Elementary School, will be closed..

Trick-or-treating hours for all on-base housing areas in the Kaiserslautern Military Community are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., the housing office said.
