De Havilland's ties to the military dated back to World War II, when the "Gone with the Wind" actress toured the U.S. and remote parts of the Pacific with the USO, helped promote the sale of war bonds, and appeared regularly at the Hollywood Canteen. Olivia De Havilland died July 26, 2020 at age 104.
