Griebelschied, Germany, 2006: Heinz Taubenheim, left, and Gilbert Adams, a retired U.S. Army officer, enjoy a taste of one of Taubenheim’s finest bourbons. Taubenheim has amassed what is believed to be the world’s largest collection almost 1,500 bottles of American whiskey.
