From the archives: A temporary barracks being built at Naval Station Rota, 2003

Naval Station Rota, Spain, Feb. 12, 2003: As a helicopter passes overhead, Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Mark Walsh nails a piece of wood to the top of temporary barracks being built. Navy Seabees with the base’s Public Works Department, civilian workers and members of Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Five are building 44 of the barracks buildings to house the overflow of personnel expected to pass through the base on their way to the Middle East.
