From the archives: US and Italian Army soldiers do pushups in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 2002

Ciljuge, Bosnia and Herzegovina, September 2002: Lt. Gen. William Ward, the commander of Stabilization Force, left, invited Italian Army Warrant Officer Massimo Di Prospero to do some pushups together after giving him a coin for being flexible and responding well when things did not go right. Di Prospero’s parachute did not open properly during a high altitude, low-opening jump out of an airplane during a Dynamic Response 03 exercise near Eagle Base. Di Prospero deployed his auxiliary parachute and landed safely.
