From the archives: A soldier with his retired K-9, 2020

San Antonio, Texas, June 2020: Army Sgt. Jake Ferkin adopted Iskra, his former military working dog, after the dog’s retirement. Ferkin said the 10-year-old German shepherd is still adjusting to retirement and tries to employ her training in explosives detection.
