Wiesbaden, Germany, Dec. 24, 1948: Singer and actress Irene Ryan and comedian Bob Hope rehearse their routine for the Christmas Eve show of Bob Hope’s “Christmas Caravan” at the Hessian State Theater in Wiesbaden. Behind them guitarist Tony Romano leads the orchestra. Hope and his troop are in Germany to entertain Berlin Airlift flyers and supporting ground crew at various bases and places during the holidays.
