Ghazni province, Afghanistan, June 2007: Soldiers with Company D, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division sweep for mines on a dirt road in Afghanistan’s Ghazni Province.

Roughly four months into their deployment in Afghanistan’s eastern Ghazni province, troops with the 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment are finding that the weapon of choice among Taliban insurgents there is the anti-tank mine.
