Three Corsair drones targeted the port at Bandar Abbas Naval Base, striking a submarine and ship maintenance facility situated in the Strait of Hormuz.

Air raid sirens sounded across the Middle East again as Iran retaliated for the latest U.S. strikes after President Donald Trump ordered the reinstatement of the naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz.

The additional strikes began just hours after President Donald Trump had warned the U.S. would “probably hit them hard again.”

Trump removed Turkey from the F-35 program in 2019 after Ankara ignored warnings and purchased Russian-made S-400 air defense systems.

The US said it hit more than 80 targets near the Strait of Hormuz, and reports indicate Iran launched attacks against targets in Kuwait and Bahrain.

The U.S. has withdrawn most of the troops that were sent to Nigeria earlier this year to help root out Islamic State insurgents, according to the head of U.S. Africa Command.

Thousands of families fled Bahrain in early March after the start of Operation Epic Fury. The small island nation in the Persian Gulf hosts the forward headquarters of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command and typically is home to some 8,300 service members, dependents and civilians.
