ANNAPOLIS, MD. — Each year the Naval Academy has the Giving Tree campaign and Midshipmen decorate a tree with paper angel ornaments provided by the Salvation Army.

Each ornament has the first name, age, gender, clothing sizes and a wish list of items for a child in need in the local community.

After a brief ceremony, Midshipmen, faculty and staff remove tags from the tree and purchase gifts for the children represented by angel ornaments.
