The Navy has relieved the commanding officer of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Lemoore, the service announced in a press release Friday.
Capt. Mathew Loe was relieved of his command by Rear Adm. Kevin Brown, the commander of Naval Medical Forces Pacific, due to a loss of confidence in his ability to lead.
The term “loss of confidence” is frequently used by the military when specific reasons are not disclosed for the removal of a commander.
“The relief of the CO does not impact the command’s operational readiness,” the release said.
Loe, who is temporarily reassigned to Naval Medical Forces Pacific in San Diego, has served as commanding officer since July 2025.
Capt. Robin Bennett, Command Lemoore’s executive officer, will step in as temporary commanding officer until a permanent successor is named.
Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Lemoore is a military treatment and operational support command co-located with Naval Health Clinic Lemoore at Naval Air Station Lemoore in California. It delivers health care to thousands of active-duty members, families and retirees, while training medical personnel for operational readiness.
