The U.S. Navy Blue Angels on Tuesday announced their new commanding officer who will lead the elite flight demonstration squadron during the 2027 and 2028 air show seasons.

Cmdr. Logan R. Peck will succeed Capt. Adam Bryan at the end of the 2026 show season in November, a service news release said. After completing training in September in Pensacola, Fla., he will take command of the 140-member team and fly the No. 1 jet as the demonstration flight leader.

During a news conference Tuesday at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Peck said he is committed to ensuring the Blue Angels continue to perform at the highest level under his leadership, the release said.

“It’s an incredible honor to take on this role and represent the men and women of this team,” Peck said. “Every day, I’m focused on leading in a way that reflects that responsibility.”

Peck previously served as the commanding officer of VFA-211 at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia, the release said. He has logged more than 2,400 flight hours and more than 500 carrier arrested landings. His decorations include multiple unit and personal awards.

“This year’s selection process reflected the high level of talent and professionalism within our ranks,” Bryan said. “Cmdr. Peck embodies those qualities, and I am confident he will lead the team with pride and professionalism in the seasons ahead.”

The Blue Angels, in their 80th air show season, perform for millions of people annually across the U.S. and are scheduled to perform 64 shows in 32 locations during the 2027 season.
