Navy leader nominated for new command post

The deputy commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain has been nominated for a new post in the command, but in Florida.
Rear Adm. (lower half) John W. Miller is being assigned deputy director of plans and policy at U.S. Central Command, MacDill Air Force Base, Fla. The announcement was made Thursday by Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mike Mullen.
Miller’s replacement, Rear Adm. (lower half, select) Scott Swift, was named Tuesday.
