Navy airman indicted in Guam stabbing

HAGATNA, Guam — A U.S. sailor was indicted Friday on charges of attempted murder and possessing and using a deadly weapon, according to records of proceedings in Guam Superior Court.
Navy Airman Jonathan Allen Cherry, 18, of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron 25, was charged June 7 in a stabbing incident involving another sailor from the same unit.
Cherry still is in Guam police custody. His next court appearance is at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
