Marine Corps releases app with ‘on-the-go’ uniform, grooming standards

Marines can now download a new mobile app that puts official uniform and grooming guidance at their fingertips, making it easier to access the latest regulations anytime, anywhere.

The free mobile application, called Marine Corps Uniform App, was launched by U.S. Marine Corps Education Command on June 29 to accompany Marine Corps Order 1020.34H, the official policy on Marine Corps uniform regulations, according to a service news release.

“The Marine Corps Uniform App gives Marines immediate access to the guidance they use most often. It is designed to make existing standards more accessible while reinforcing the professionalism and attention to detail that define our Corps,” said Brig. Gen. Matthew W. Tracy, commanding general of Education Command.

Uniform regulations on the app are organized by officer, enlisted personnel and sex. Although the app answers many of the most common uniform and grooming questions, Marines should continue to use the official order for more comprehensive and detailed policies, the release said.

The app is available on the Apple App Store while an Android version is expected to be released during the Department of Defense’s Fiscal Year 2027.
