The U.S. Army has launched its annual Tenant Satisfaction Survey, inviting feedback from more than 200,000 tenants about Army housing conditions.
The survey opened Tuesday and will remain available for 60 days, according to a service news release. Participation is voluntary and confidential.
The feedback will be used to help improve the quality of life for soldiers and their families living in privatized, government-owned and government-leased housing.
“Quality housing is fundamental to Soldier and Family readiness,” said Mr. Jordan Gillis, Assistant Secretary of the Army for Installations, Energy and Environment. “We are committed to holding ourselves and our partners accountable, and that starts with listening. I strongly encourage every eligible resident to complete the survey and share their experience so we can continue improving Army housing across the enterprise.”
Each year, the survey aims to identify areas for enhancing communication with residents, address any deficiencies, and prioritize improvements that are most important to the community’s well-being. Tenants who do not receive the survey email should contact their local garrison Army housing office.
It comes as the Army promises to step up improvements to barracks, which have long been plagued with myriad health and comfort issues.
