FBI investigates suspicious package at MacDill AFB visitors center

A suspicious package was reported Monday at the MacDill Air Force Base Visitors Center near the Dale Mabry entrance gate.
The visitors center and gate were closed, and traffic was being diverted to the Bayshore Gate, FBI Tampa said in an X post.
FBI Tampa’s special agent bomb technicians are on the scene, working alongside Tampa police to investigate the package.
