Vilseck, Germany, February, 1961: Pfc. John Reiss of the 8th Infantry Ranger platoon passes out eggs to fellow Rangers, but it has nothing to do with Easter. During the Winter Shield II exercise, the eggshells are filled with powder and used as simulated hand grenades.
