West Germany, September, 1951: Troops taking part in the French-led, multinational Operation Jupiter go about their business discussing strategy, with possible added incentive to excel coming from the presence of SHAPE commander, man who led the allies to victory in World War II and future President of the United States Gen. Dwight D. Eisenhower. The three-day war games involves some 150,000 allied troops, including 45,000 Americans from the Army's V Corps, and featured a mass assault across the Rhine against an opponent dug in on the river's east bank.
