Madingley, U.K., June, 1994: President Bill Clinton and British Prime Minister John Major walk through rows of white grave markers at the Cambridge American Military Cemetery. More than 5,000 U.S. and British veterans, military personnel and other spectators turned out in cold, wet weather to honor America's World War II dead and witness the first visit by a U.S. president to the cemetery, located some 14 miles west of Cambridge.
Stars and Stripes' 1994 story about the ceremony.
