Sirsenk, Iraq, May, 1991: 1st Lt. Louis A. Paradis of the 66th Maintenance Battalion out of Kaiserslautern, Germany, takes a look at a huge crater in a runway that was attacked by B-52 bombers during the Gulf War. Army engineers and Navy Seabees were working to repair the runway for use by C-130 transport planes bringing supplies for returning Kurdish refugees.
