Balad Air Base, Iraq, December, 2004: Airman 1st Class Cedric Lawton of the 332nd Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron attaches lights to a 41-foot wooden Christmas tree designed by Albert Pellot of DynCorp and built by Air Force volunteers. A ceremony to light the tree included songs from the Reindeer Band and a prayer, but was interrupted by a mortar attack before Santa Claus' arrival.
