Berlin, August, 1990: A bicyclist takes a ride that would likely have been a fatal one a year earlier, pedaling past the wreckage of a guard shack in what was once the no-man's land at the Berlin Wall. As of Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, the hated Wall — started in 1961 — had been down for as long as it had been up, 10,316 days.
