Moon rock on display in the Philippines, 1970

Manila, Philippines, February, 1970: U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of the Philippines Henry A. Byroade and his wife, Jitka, lead a group that includes members of the Philippine Congress, diplomatic corps, and press, and heads of various Manila colleges, in viewing a moon rock on display in a sealed plastic container during the first day of the National School Science Fair. Some 25,000 people got a look at the lunar sample that day.
