Staff Sgt. Charles Crumlett, 25, has been identified as the airman who died last week in a workplace incident at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Crumlett served as a weapons load crew chief for six years in the service, working on F-15 Strike Eagles, A-10 Warthogs and F-22 Raptors.
Work has been going on around the clock since the beginning of this month at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest U.S. base in the Middle East, as soldiers and airmen scurry to assemble aid pallets for airdrops to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
