for playing "Top 10" with
Stripes GAMER



NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO PARTICIPATE OR WIN

STARS AND STRIPES offers participation in its "Stripes GAMER Top 10" survey promotion (the "Promotion") to current U.S. government ID cardholders or authorized dependents, age 18 or older at the time of entry. Non-U.S. government ID cardholders are not eligible for participation. You must be 18 years or older to enter and to be eligible for prizes.

Employees (including news carriers) and/or family members of STARS AND STRIPES, its affiliates, subsidiaries, distributors, retailers, and advertising and promotion agencies are not eligible to participate.

ENTRY PERIOD:
The entry period for the Promotion begins October 3, 2009 and ends at midnight local time on November 2, 2009.

ELIGIBILITY:
Void where prohibited by law. No purchase necessary to pariticpate or win.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
To enter, participants must provide all the information required on the Top 10 Contest Entry Form. As an alternate means of entry, participants may send an email to Games@Stripes.com that includes ALL of the following:

  1. Your name (first and last).
  2. Your current location (city, state and country).
  3. Your age.
  4. The title of your favorite game for the current "Top 10 Platformer Games" topic. See the latest issue of Stripes GAMER for other Top 10 topics.
  5. The reason your game deserves a place of honor on our Top 10 Platformer Games list.
  6. Your favorite game platform (PC, Wii, PS2, Xbox 360, etc.)

Incomplete entries will be ineligible for prizes.

All entries must be complete and submitted by the deadline shown in the most recent issue of Stripes GAMER. For the current round (Top 10 Platformer Games) the deadline is August 31, 2009.

Each participant may enter only once. Participants submitting more than one entry will be disqualified.

SELECTION OF PRIZE RECIPIENTS:
Four (4) prize recipients will be chosen at random from all eligible entrants who have submitted a complete entry as instructed above.

 

PRIZES:
We’ll give away a total of 15 copies of Madden 10 for PS3, Xbox 360 or Wii. Each winner will receive one game.

Efforts will be made to give away games that match each prize recipient’s favorite console. However, STARS AND STRIPES makes no guarantee that recipients will receive games for their favorite consoles.

NOTIFICATION:

  1. Prize recipients will be notified by email on or about November 6, 2009.
  2. The email address used to submit the entry will be used to notify each prize recipient.
  3. Prize recipients must respond within five (5) business days from the time the notification email is sent.
  4. Failure to respond within the allotted time will result in forfeiture of the prize.
  5. An alternate prize recipient, chosen at STARS AND STRIPES’ discretion, will replace any previously chosen participant failing to respond within five (5) business days. Once an alternate has been chosen, the previously chosen participant's entitlements have been forfeited.
  6. Prize recipients may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility in order to claim the prize. Additional verification and information may be required and will be identified in writing at the time of winner notification.
  7. Personal information collected during the entry process will remain property of STARS AND STRIPES and will not be released to third parties. All participants agree that STARS AND STRIPES may use the information submitted for the Promotion in future promotional activities.
  8. By entering the Promotion, participants agree to allow STARS AND STRIPES the absolute right to take and/or reproduce photographs and/or audio/video recordings of themselves and/or their entries for subsequent promotion of the Stripes GAMER "Top 10" Promotion.
  9. STARS AND STRIPES assumes no liability for unclaimed prizes.
  10. Payouts are null and void if any of the qualifications have not been met.
  11. All applicable taxes are the sole responsibility of the prizewinner.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

By entering, each participant agrees to be bound by these Official Rules and decisions of STARS AND STRIPES, which shall be final. STARS AND STRIPES, along with its agents and representatives, affiliates, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and legal advisors is not responsible for and shall not be liable for (1) late, lost, delayed, damaged, misdirected, incomplete, illegible, or unintelligible entries; (2) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, Internet, or computer malfunctions, failures, or difficulties of any kind; (3) failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed computer transmissions and/or electronic mail; (4) any condition caused by events beyond the control of STARS AND STRIPES that may cause Promotion entries to be disrupted or corrupted; (5) any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising in connection with or as a result of the prize or acceptance, possession or use of the prize, or from participation in the Promotion; or (6) any human error or printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with the Promotion. STARS AND STRIPES reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to suspend or cancel the Promotion at any time.

By participating in the Promotion, each participant agrees to release and hold harmless STARS AND STRIPES and its employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, representatives of STARS AND STRIPES and its affiliates, advertising, promotion and fulfillment agencies and legal advisers from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the Promotion or resulting from acceptance, possession, use, or issue of any prize, including, without limitation, personal injury, death, and property damage and claims based on publicity rights, defamation, or invasion of privacy.

By submitting your entry you hereby represent and warrant that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and have read and understand the terms and conditions of these general terms and conditions.
